The Redberry leadership team believes in the power of education to change people’s lives by helping them achieve their dreams and be the best version of themselves. That’s why Redberry is proud to be a Canadian leader in supporting the Burger King Foundation donations and scholarships awards.
We are passionate about fundraising. Last year we raised more than $330,000 in donations, including corporate sponsorship, for educational scholarships – and we look to exceed that year after year. One hundred per cent of donations raised are dedicated to scholarships which are awarded to team members and students in the general community.
At Redberry Restaurants, and our Burger Kings across Canada, one of our top priorities is to establish a culture where people can be the best version of themselves and, as we like to say, “Burst with Opportunity”. Anyone at any time has the opportunity to excel and live their dream. A big part of that is education so our participation and leadership in the Burger King Foundation Scholarship program is so vital to help our team members be the best version of themselves.
Ken Otto, CEO Redberry Restaurants
Scholarships make a very big difference in our team members’ lives. It helps to relieve the financial pressure of going to school and encourages everyone to follow their dreams. Every year, we commit to raising $100,000 for scholarships; it shows our team that we are invested in them and in their future. Scholarships also help us to show how Burger King connects with and supports local students in our communities.
